Before you report a claim
Report a claim by following the steps below. But be sure to report your claim in a timely manner. If an emergency, please see the bottom instructions.

Emergency Claims
If it is an emergency, and AP Insurance is not open, take the following steps where applicable:
- If you encounter a leaky tap, turn off water at source (main water line).
- Ensure your family personal safety.
- Call an emergency restoration company for immediate mitigation services to prevent further damage. Allowing the damage to further develop could increase the damages to the home and increase the cost of repairs. Most restoration companies have 24/7 services, and quite often can attend your home within an hour or two to help you.
- Report to the insurance companies claims number on your policy.
Our Claims Philosophy
As your agent, we are here to help in any way possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about how to report your claim or the claims settlement process. Not all claims will be covered, hopefully we have done the best to help you choose coverage that fits your budget, but this may mean that you have left off coverage. We cannot confirm coverage, that will be up to the licensed adjuster assigned to your claim. The best advice is to “act like there is no insurance and you want things fixed.” This means that insurance is not a maintenance policy when things break down and doing nothing usually puts you in a worse position.
